After more than 300 shows in Europe and the USA Celtica will perform in the Czech Republic presenting their current album Legends and Visions. All 3 of their CDs – the debut album “Rising”, the 2nd CD “Oceans Of Fire” and also “Legends and Visions” were #1 of CDBaby´s top-selling charts in the Celtic Rock category and for several weeks at the same time among the top 4 (#1, 3 and 4).
Their rendition of “What shall we do with the drunken sailor” has been in the top charts of “Schottenradio” (one of the biggest Celtic radios, located in Germany) for nearly 2 years straight (!). “Cape Horn”, an original composition, made it to the top of their charts within just 3 weeks and was long enough at number one of the charts to get a special award of the radio station.
Thus, the expectations for the third album were very high; “We worked really hard to make “Legends and Visions” sound even better than our first CDs, and we invested more time and money, and so the final result is amazing, it sounds absolutely terrific! It´s a killer album that will blow you away!”, Gajus Stappen, band leader and guitarist, is very happy about the latest Celtica album.
With their unique sound of blazing bagpipes, mighty drums and the power of a rock band, CELTICA’s 3rd album takes you on a journey to sunken, mysterious times. Besides all original compositions there are 3 cover songs: A U2 medley, a heavy rock version of “Whiskey In The Jar” and a great live version of “Don´t Stop Believing’, recorded all over the USA during their previous tours.
