Since its inception, Dálach has been a band that brings fresh and unprecedented Irish traditional music to domestic listeners. In their repertoire, everyone comes to their own – listening to the captivating tunes of Irish songs, letting their legs move with the brisk and energetic instrumental sets of jigs or reels, all of which is easier than ever before…

Dálach do not copy the repertoire or style of the famous Irish bands. He creates his own instrumental sets, especially in songs he lets the band members creatively show their own creativity. He often seeks inspiration in archival recordings, discovering almost unknown jewels of traditional Irish music.

What does the term “Dálach” means? There are few meanings. From the poetic – the name of a significant bard family, to the less poetic, related to everyday life (“weekday” or “holding regular meetings”). For the members of the band, Irish music is truly a mundane thing, but the bolder they can then pass on to the audience from the stage so that the Dálach concert becomes a unique event and an unforgettable experience.
